Clash of The Tweetians: Ndoro vs Wimar

It’s interesting to see the dynamics Twitter brings, especially when it comes to politics—as more politicians are now having Twitter accounts.

When Aburizal Bakrie (@aburizalbakrie) started tweeting, lots of Tweeps were triggered to post questions surrounding Lapindo mud. Thus, last night, Obrolan Langsat (#obsat); a casual discussion session that took place in Jl. Langsat I no. 3A featured Aburizal Bakrie—where he met onliners face to face to answer their questions; offline.

A somewhat intriguing excess from this event happened just an hour ago, when Wimar Witoelar (@wimar) tweeted:

Buzzer @ndorokakung a.k.a Wicaksono, the moderator of #obsat and also Chief Editor of Tempo Interaktif, asked Wimar to prove it–or else, what Wimar has tweeted was nothing more than false accusation. Ndoro also asked Tweeps who attended #obsat to tweet their opinion—whether the event was just a setup as accused by Wimar, or not.

Furthermore, @wimar also questioned the articles written in Tempo and Detik, that he thought are protecting Bakrie.

And this had been addressed by Goenawan Mohamad (@gm_gm)–the founder and longtime editor of Indonesia’s Tempo weekly news magazine:

This is not the first time that @wimar and @ndorokakung got into disagreement on Twitter. There have been several occasions where the two got into argument.

We’re still waiting the next development regarding @wimar’s accusation towards #obsat, Tempo and Detik. But let us know, what do you think? Do you agree with Wimar? Or do you think Tempo and Detik’s journalist should write the story from a different angle?

Thanks Maverick, for providing a summary. I accept the majority opinion unequivocally. For those who need an explanation, I am always trying to set my standard perspective. Then I can see where it fits in. Obviously Bakrie has shifted opinion sharply to his side, so that questions become irritants. That is the reality, it is just sad that mainstream media has come to his rescue. mais c’est la vie :)

Wah, menarik sekali. Saya pikir ada apaan, ternyata clash of the tweetians.. :)

Saya pikir semua itu ada “reason”nya.
Maybe we don’t know what they know and maybe again we do know what they don’t… :)

So, keep it open, let the public (read:readers) decide. Thanks for the share Maverick…
